The room was spotless and Fred was fantastic. Even provided plates and cutlery so we could have a takeaway and told us where we could use locally . Breakfast was very tasty . Parking at the back is up a very steep slope but room for multiple cars. I would happily stay here again
Tips:we used the Fun Heng Chinese takeaway only a couple of minutes walk from the hotel .

Ideally situated for local parks and town centre. Spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable beds and pillows. Adaptation to 2020 (!) with all hygienic measures in place. Offering a varied choice of breakfast to eat in room or take away. If you come to Kilmarnock, I would recommend this as the place to stay. Robbie and Fred extend a very warm welcome and go over and beyond to ensure guests are well catered to

Warmly welcomed to a lovely clean warm and homely room with comfy beds and tea facilities, including a small fridge.Breakfast was a bit early for us so mostly didn't partake but when we did it was excellent, That of course is a personal option rather than a critiisim. Everything was cleaned to a high standard and it was lovely to find little touches such as home backing left in the room to enjoy.. Hosts were delightful. We would certainly recommend.

Such a great location within walking distance of Dean Castle, Kay Park, and the Dick Institute. Breakfast is fabulous and Fred is one of the most personable people; he was such a pleasure to visit with at breakfast.
Tips:See Dean Castle, Kay Park, and the Dick Institute. Eat at the local pub down the road (the big one on the other side of the railroad) we were sent there by Dean Park Guest House and loved our fish and chips on their Friday night special.

16th October 2019:
We were very pleased with our room, the wonderful breakfast, and the location. Our room was spacious for us, the bathroom was very nice, and each morning the chef Fred cooked a breakfast to order besides the cereals and fruits & juices. We walked quite a bit and found all restaurants, shopping stores, and even a mini mall. We stayed 3 days at Dean Park and if we come back again we will stay here again.
Tips:Of course with most British hotels (that we have found), one should bring their own bar of soap as there are always liquid soaps, but we prefer bar of soap. I bring a zip lock baggie to transport the bar to the next hotel. We had twin beds, which were comfortable. If one hires a taxi, the taxi is at the door within seconds, honestly. We were amazed how quickly the response was.

I have already recommended this classic guesthouse to others. The 2 members of staff we met were totally charming and flexibly caring about our needs. Every corner of the guesthouse was spotlessly clean.
Tips:We had delightful morning coffee at The Lairds Table in Fenwick watching the fish jump in the lake. For dinner we walked to WG13, beside the railway station and had some excellent home cooked food, with some amusing ‘Fawlty Towers’ service. It is a social enterprise providing work experience to help people back into employment and a new cohort had just started. We had a great time.

For a quirky location, I was happily surprised at the facilities and attention to detail as guests. Our welcome was wonderful and the explanations for service etc impeccable. Our host was engaging and most polite. Dining room and atmosphere was friendly and homely. I would certainly stay here again when in this area.
Tips:The entrance at the back of the property is tricky to park, however, I would thoroughly recommend that you make the effort, as this B&B has first class attention to detail thereafter. I was attending a horse event nearby and felt really taken care of after a long day in a homely yet not intrusive way by our host.

Robbie and Fred were the perfect hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. The breakfasts were cooked to perfection. I left my jacket behind and Robbie came all the way to the station to return it to me. Catching me just as I boarded the train. The room was cmpact and very comfortable.
Tips:I spent time in Kay Park a beautiful area to walk in. I went to the Robbie Burns Centre and visited the records office to find out about my family genealogy. I also visited Dean Castle Park on the outskirts of the town. It was very beautiful and within walking dustance. As I did not have a ca so r I walked to both venues quite easily.

From the minute we arrived we felt very welcome indeed, The room we stayed in was a fantastic and spotlessly clean, The botheroom also spotlessly clean and the shower was brilliant as I'm a larger lady and I had plenty of room in it, Bith Robbie & Fred were extremely accommodating to our requests and nothing was to much trouble, I had the most superb breakfast both mornings as well as a fabulous coffee in a cute personal coffee pot, I will be back in Kilmarnock again and I will 100% be staying in the Dean Park and have spoken very highly to anyone who has asked me about my stay, ive recommended you to everyone who will listen - Tha k you both fit an amazing two days break and I hope to see you both again soon

Gepflegtes nettes Gasthaus.

There is always a friendly welcome at Dean Park and nothing is too much trouble. The last time I visited I was touched by the consideration shown me as a Vegan and enjoyed margarine with my toast. A small gesture but it betrays a caring attitude. This is why Dean Park Guest House is a Travelling Gallery staff favourite and in our top ten for Scotland.

We received an email in advance to check our ETA, which was a nice touch. The proprietors were friendly and welcoming. The guest house was immaculate with comfortable beds and all the facilities you would expect, plus a really good breakfast. Veggie and vegan options were available, which was a big plus! Excellent value and highly recommended.
Tips:It was a miserable, wet evening when we arrived, so we took the proprietor's advice and walked to the local Weatherspoons pub, which was just a few minutes away. Whilst it was by no means a gourmet meal, we just needed something quick and straight forward and they did serve craft beer, much to our surprise! Again, excellent value.

Great staff, great breakfast and a pleasure to meet a happy person when arriving and this continued through in the morning with the chef too. These gents certainly know how to run a pleasant place to stay at and I will stay again in about 8 weeks time. It’s great for me personally because the location is near the hospital and being a medical rep travelling constantly what you need is a happy clean place with a goood breakfast, ease of parking and close to the hospital and you guys at Dean Park Guest House tick all those boxes.
Tips:Well food wise there’s a couple of restaurants around but only a couple, Wetherspoons is a 5 minute walk down the hill and that’s as far as I got to be honest. To all travellers Glasgow centre is on a 35 minute run from here so if you business there or are wanting to visit Glasgow or flying into the airport there then again it’s only 35 minutes away. Hope this helps.

Tips:Th Tartan Sheep pub is well worth a visit. it's round the corner from the more expensive and pretentious Fanny by Gaslight. Traditional friendly Scottish boozer and cheap as chips. The Clansman is another worth a visit if only to ask the barman if Jack and Victor are in, lol (Still Game). First Edition is a big Wetherspoon's, cheap food and drink but a bit soulless. Further afield The Park Hotel is ok if you're at hospitality, typical hotel bar, expensive with average service.
