Very friendly and accommodating- I appreciated the effort to fit us in at a very busy time and the kind offer of a lift to or from the station several times during our stay.
Tips:Try Mrs Tweedie's porridge for breakfast- lovely! We enjoyed our dinner at Scotts at Troon Harbour on the first evening. The walk to the rail station is around 20 minutes and very pleasant when the weather is dry!

11th June 2014:
Margaret met me with a warm welcome. She did not mind me bringing my dog with me and it was able to play ball to it's hearts content on the back lawn. The room was nice and comfortable with a view of the back garden which has a very large lawn, and it is true about the quietness of the position, all you hear is the "thwack" of golf balls. Breakfast was to die for and a large selection. There was also a selection of tea and coffee in the room which you could make yourself. Very enjoyable.
Tips:As has been said before, it is best to reverse into the Cherries or there is ample room outside on the road if you have a large vehicle. Seems to be a very secure area. It is very quiet with not a lot of traffic.

Warm and welcoming, in a quiet and peaceful location.
Tips:Excellent location for visiting some of the most beautiful areas of the Ayrshire coast. Only 30 minutes to the fabulous Culzean Castle and a short drive to the ferry port of Ardrossan for a trip to the beautiful island of Arran, Glasgow and Edinburgh easy to get to as well Lovely little cafes such as The Velvet Apple provide delicious daytime snacks and there are plenty off hotels offfering reasonably priced meals, recommend booking though as they can get very busy in the evening.

Everything was what I would expect and more. Mrs Tweedie is a real gem and if I am ever in the Troon area again, I will certainly stay at the Cherries.
Tips:Visit the Spirit of Scotland - if you can find it. The Tourist Board should get their knuckles rapped - one little sign at the end of the road - then nothing. Not good enough when you travel from the West Indies to see it.
